Our current education system is focused on standardizing and maintaining old prototypes that mutilate creativity and self-learning. What are we evaluating in these standardized tests? The ability? Growth? or memory?
These are questions that constantly invade my mind and make me question the development of my teaching.
To what extent do the administration's requirements prevent a different teaching style, and to what extent is it possible to break out of the mold and create?
I agree that timid attempts to improve are insufficient, and a complete revolution that modifies the system is necessary. What is the motivation? How are we evaluating? What is the objective of that average? With many questions, few answers, and many things to do, these questions changed how I teach and evaluate my students, even my way of planning lessons.
